The seminar is aimed at people with a focus on HR and GDPR issues. The seminar objectives are to discuss and uncover the specific HR issues that the Personal Data Regulation raises in relation to the Human Resources function.
We go through the HR master data as a central part of the overall IT architecture and a prerequisite for a good HR department governance. We focus on the staff have access to some of the most sensitive personal information and related security aspects. Since spreadsheets are often supplemented with payroll, EPR, and MS Active Directory components we go thru these issues to be GDPR compliant.
We go thru a implementation of a dedicated HR master data systems that are designed to support HR processes and ensure a single access point for entering and updating data.
The HR department is a crucial part of the GDPR journey thru a digital master data system as a key element of the GDPR as it forces all organizations to reconsider the way in which they handle HR data. And finally we review the need for a close collaboration between HR and IT.
By the end of the workshop participants will understand; the responsibilities of personal data and sensitive data in more detail. Participants will prepare a plan of action to update GDPR implementation.
The seminar also addresses problems raised by the course participants
