Attached is the first of the 2019 Newsletter on the topical and timely global GDPR, GRC and IT-Security issues that interest most corporate companies and individuals with the explanation to some of the pain points that need attention and remedy to improve performance.

In this newsletter we highlight some pointers on the practical cases and activities where we, in some small way have shaped the global GDPR, GRC and IT development across the continents.

Most companies have experienced full throttle for the past couple of years in many of the components in our GDPR, Data Protection, GRC and IT-Security practice areas. We believe that these issues will continue for another couple of years when the dust will settle down, however for cyber security issues the road ahead is paved with several obstacles, threats and vulnerabilities.

Therefor we now have added The Information-Security Institute as a new practice area to our GRC and IT-Security product portfolio. www.information-security.institute/ and established GDPR and GRC networks in a number of cities. Please send us an email if you are interested in a GDPR network in your company or city. info@copenhagencompliance.com

The role, accountability and the responsibility of the board and senior management also continues to be an issue. Therefore, we have launched our corporate certification F-O-P-A GRC tool to the international business community. www.copenhagencompliance.com/grccertification/

We are also happy to announce that Jens Roeder, ex-Secretary, General Nordic CPA Association and Jeffrey Avina, ex Microsoft Global Citizenship Director have joined our team as independent advisors. Amongst the extraordinary assignments, we would like to mention that we have been selected to develop GDPR, GRC and IT security training programs for The Jamaica Stock Exchange.

We pledge to work relentlessly to ensure that our GDPR, GRC and IT security services will add value to our clients. We are honouredto be able to offer global GRC and IT Security activities since 2005 - and humbled by the fact that the coming years GDPR, GRC, IT security and Business Information issues and solutions will continue to be a challenge for many companies. We will in a small way tokeepsetting a high global GRC and IT-Security standard.

Happy New Year!

Best regards
Copenhagen Compliance

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is not explicitly a global law. However, it has in more ways than one become a de facto universal law for some businesses. In this globalised world where data knows no boundaries, it is often praised that many countries have now adopted the privacy principles and practice in their legislation making GDPR also a de facto global law for some countries.
  • Machine Learning and The GDPR Is More Than Just Profiling Activities
The EU General Data Protection Regulation, known as GDPR, is the most critical change in data privacy regulations in the 21st century, and it will have a significant impact on many aspects of data collection and processing activities of data of EU residents and will affect not only EU companies but also multinationals that operate in EU.
  • European GDPR Update 8 Months After Implementation. Stay Calm and Implement
Through out Europe companies, corporations’ organisations and the oversight authorities continue to be quite busy organising their policies, procedures, processes and controls to monitor the Data Protection implementation together with stakeholders, partners.
